AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF BROOKINGS BY SUBSTITUTING THE WORD COUNCIL OF"CITY
COLTNCIL" FOR THE WORDS "COIVIlVIISSION", "CITY COMNIISSION" OR`BOARD OF
CONIlVIISSIONERS"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERIVING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS
THAT SECTION 1-2 OF CHAPTER 1 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS SHALL BE AMENDED IN THE FOLLOWING 11�IANNER, TO-WIT:
Delete the definition of the word"Commission" and substitute therefore the following,
to-wit: "Council" so that the definition of Council shall read as follows:
Council: The words"Council", "City Council" or Board of Councilmembers" shall
mean the City Council of the City of Brookings, constituting the
governing body of the City.
The following definitions shall also be added to Section 1-2, to-wit:
Wherever in this Ordinance reference is made to the words"Commission", "City
Commission", or"Board of Commissioners", it shall mean and make reference to the
City Council of the City of Brookings.
