HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 02-1999 ORDINANCE NO. 2-99 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE REVISED CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS PERTAINING TO LEASED DWELLING UNITS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS THAT ARTICLE II, LEASED DWELLING UNITS, OF CHAPTER 19, HOUSING, OF THE REVISED CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS, TO WIT: Sec. 19-30. Definitions (c) Dwelling unit. One (1) or more rooms in a dwelling which are arranged, designed, used or intended for use as living quarters for one (1) family or in the case of an apartment, fraternity, sorority or boardinghouse, by one (1) or more people. A dwelling unit includes all of the following: (1) A living room (2) A sleeping area (3) A separate eating area containirg a kitchen sink with hot and cold running water and operational cooking and refrigeration appliances connected to a power source (4) A separate bathroom containing a water closet, lavatory and bathtub or shower A dwelling unit functions independently from all other dwelling units within a building.
